Namibian Artists Bernette Louw and Sascha Olivier-Sampson transform simple materials into extraordinary creations, inviting viewers to explore the unknown and confront the boundaries between the real and the imagined.

Sascha’s abstract canvases, inspired by the ocean’s beauty and danger, reveal hidden layers through her unique process of heat manipulation and acrylic painting. Her work reflects the ever-changing nature of the deep sea, encouraging viewers to discover personal interpretations within her forms. Meanwhile, Bernette’s intricate paper mâché sculptures evoke the strange, resilient creatures of the deep ocean. Using recycled materials, she shapes imaginative marine life, bringing the mysterious undersea world to life with playful curiosity.
