ART FOR CUBA
We are small. This is not.
BELLHAUS Atelier & Galerie is a gallery and creative space at 18 Bell Street, in Windhoek's Southern Industrial Area. We have one haus, a handful of people, and walls we usually fill with art.
But a gallery is more than its walls. Ours is a place where people meet, talk, explore, create and leave a little changed. It's where a buzz starts, and sometimes something that matters grows out of it. We give that with heart.
This October, we are giving all of it to Cuba: our walls, our evenings, our kitchen and our voice.
We're not a foundation or a big institution. We are a small gallery that believes art can do more than hang on a wall. Art has always been the language for what words cannot carry.
And right now, Cuba is in crisis. Hospitals are losing power. Medicine is running out. Patients are waiting for care that may not come in time, and lives are being lost.
So when we say paint for life, it is not a slogan. It is a cry for help.
I'm asking you to answer it with me.
